People & Performance Partner [Denmark]

In this role new role, you’ll have great influence on your job and on the work life of our employees, as we grow and develop together. You’ll join a great team in an awesome company. Interested? Next step in your journey starts now.

Whiteaway Group has grown from a start-up to a successful retailer, selling and shipping household appliances to customers in all of Scandinavia. It all started as an idea, a clear customer focus, and a digital mindset. This is still who we are. This still makes us tick – we’re change-makers at heart.

You’ll join a truly central part of the organisation – our People & Performance team. Here, you’ll meet and work with our Group Communication Manager, People & Performance Specialist, Service & Facility Coordinator, and Chief People & Performance Officer, whom you’ll also report to. We mostly each run our own projects and have designated tasks – but we prioritise a culture, where we’re ambitious together and help each other to succeed. We thrive on making a difference in the business. We’re looking for someone, who’s eager to join a small unit, make an impact, and co-create the best team.

The team’s based at our headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark, but we also support managers and teams in Sweden and Norway as well as in Denmark with ambitions to grow in all markets.

This is a new role in the team, driven by the desire to keep improving. There’ll be room to influence your job, and how we best how we support as well as challenge managers, as trusted partners.

The job

  • As a great communicator, your main task is to support and guide managers in building strong and motivated teams, including on recruitment, onboarding, development etc.
  • You’re an active partner, natural go-to-person, and reliable sounding board for managers on anything related to their leadership role
  • You scope and drive projects supporting strategic People priorities - e.g., concepts for development programmes for managers and employees, diversity & inclusion initiatives, as well as mapping organisational needs and capabilities
  • You run and facilitate cyclic events, e.g., performance activities, engagement surveys, compensation reviews etc., and you play a key part in developing and maturing our processes
  • Based on your interests and our needs, you’ll be part of a wide variety of projects aimed at creating a great place to work for our employees

Your profile

  • You’re a self-starter, you follow through, and you keep relevant people informed and involved
  • We expect you to have at least a couple of years’ relevant experience
  • It’d be a plus if you have broad knowledge of HR from the Nordic countries
  • Specialised experience in recruiting, learning, performance management or other HR disciplines is also a way into the job – if you are eager to broaden your skills and willing to learn
  • You have knowledge of best practices, relevant policies, systems, processes, local laws and regulations within your area of specialisation
  • And of course, you know the important balance between being a people person and keeping confidential information confidential.

We like to think we have quite an amazing workplace, including:

  • A dynamic and international environment with room for you to be you
  • Lots of opportunities to develop professionally and to influence your own work life
  • A flat, informal organisation with short decision-making processes
  • Colleagues who care about, what they do and how we are with each other
  • Attractive settings, such as: flexible work hours, health care, lunch scheme, Friday breakfast, gym, and active employee social group
