Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting in managing financial accounts, preparing financial statements, and conducting financial analysis to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance in the contracting field, and possess excellent analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
-Assist in preparing and maintaining financial accounts and records
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Maintain Billing system, generate invoices and accounts statement.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis and reporting
- Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
- Create and maintain accurate records of contract expenses, revenue, and project costs
- Conduct regular financial audits of contract accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Assist in overseeing the preparation and filing of VAT and other regulatory reports
- Support in managing the budgeting and forecasting process
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required
- Assisting with annual audit preparations.
- Stay up-to-date with accounting principles and regulations. Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
* Professional certification CMA - CPA is preferred
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in contracting
* Must be fluent in English
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
*The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.
