Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the organization. Provide strategic financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Comply with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks, such as commodity price fluctuations, foreign exchange exposure, and regulatory changes. Develop risk mitigation strategies and implement appropriate controls.
Treasury Management: Oversee cash management, including liquidity planning, cash flow forecasting, and optimizing working capital. Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
Financial Operations: Supervise financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and collections. Implement efficient financial processes and controls to enhance operational effectiveness.
Cost Management: Analyze and manage costs across different areas of the organization, such as exploration and production, refining, and distribution. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvement.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. Maintain strong internal controls and oversee internal and external audits.
Strategic Financial Planning: Contribute to the development of long-term financial strategies and goals. Provide financial insights to support investment decisions, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education: relevant degree.
Experience: Extensive experience in financial management roles, preferably within the oil and gas industry. Previous experience in financial planning, analysis, reporting, and risk management is essential.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry, including its financial dynamics, market trends, and regulatory environment.
Financial Expertise: Proficiency in financial analysis, financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting. Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to manage a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. Strong communication and presentation abilities to convey financial information effectively.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced industry, with the flexibility to handle changing priorities and meet deadlines.
