Process control and information management systems are essential components of Metso`s Planet Positive Digital solutions for concentrator and beneficiation plants. These systems integrate seamlessly with Metso intelligent instruments, elemental analyzers & process optimizers, and Geminex Digital Twins to help the customers to build and operate the plants in a safe, sustainable and optimized way.
We are looking for a Product Manager for Process Control & Information Systems solutions to continue the global productization and commercialization of platform-agnostic solutions based on world-leading technologies. Your success is measured by business performance and the satisfaction of internal stakeholders and external customers.
The position will be placed in Espoo, Finland.
As a Product Manager Process control, you will:
Ensure product and technology leadership for own product both short (continuous improvement & new developments) and long term (innovation)
Create product roadmaps, propose, and implement the Product Group portfolio strategy and R&D development plans
Continuously review products to drive customer value up and cost down, develop sourcing, manufacturing, price, and cost models accordingly and product positioning (incl. pricing) appropriately in the market
Create, maintain, and deliver product training, presentations, technical papers and content for marketing and product positioning
Manage and develop technical product competence for complex troubleshooting cases as well as support sales and delivery functions
Implement best practices in Design to Cost, Product Sourcing, Design to Service (for optimized lifecycle value, TCO), Product Marketing and technology and competitor follow up
Contribute to the success of the organization by aligning and engaging with other functions and stakeholders
To succeed in this challenging yet rewarding role you will need:
Technical competency to understand complex process automation and information systems, technological trends and skills to argument these to various stakeholders in an easy and understandable way
Experience in process automation, process control and information management platforms and how these are implemented in the continuous process industry
Track record of managing a global product or solution while fostering a profitable growth
Ability to create and lead a vision and a concrete product development roadmap
Experience in project scoping and related contractual management
Excellent written and verbal skills in the English language and the capability to work as a team player in a global network of colleagues, partners, and customers
Willingness to travel globally (10-20%) to market areas
