Job Summary
Dublin City Council has a vibrant night-time economy with hospitality, cultural and leisure activities. Our objective is to strengthen this and broaden the appeal of the city’s night-time offering to locals, visitors and families in a safe environment. Dublin City Council also seeks to ensure the city centre is an attractive place to live, work and visit which will require co-existence of hospitality, cultural and residential uses. The aim of this initiative is to gain a better understanding of and to stimulate Night –Time Economy activity in areas of the city through the development of enhanced collaborative structures at local level supported by a Night-Time Economy Advisor. The anticipated outcomes are:
1. the development of a sustainable structure within Dublin City Council for longer-term/ongoing work in the area of the Night-Time Economy which will include a Committee and consultation process;
2. the production of a cohesive action plan for Dublin City Council including a range of actions based on proven interventions in this regard to include activities for different age-groups and different time spans;
3. a plan for the future sustainability of the structure.
